Long-term mobile plant contracts with SER

Around a third of the machines on the SER fleet are hired out on long-term fixed cost contracts.
In addition to the core machines of Volvo Articulated Dumptrucks and Volvo/ CAT Wheeled Loading Shovels, the type of machines under SER control expands widely when it comes to long-term contracts, where generally anything goes! A Liebherr LH50 log handler was recently returned to the workshop to remind us of this fact.
In a show of both machine types and key manufacturers engaged by SER, the Liebherr LH50 was parked up next to a new CAT 972 that is due out on another long-term contract once it has undergone its preparation work. A Volvo A45G truck separates the machines in the photo above – yet another long-term job awaits this hauler in the coming weeks.
Having completed nearly 20K hours work over a 3 year+ period (working 24:7), the machine was looking in pretty good condition after it was washed down before being prepared for sale.
In addition to log handling with 50 tonne Liebherr’s, SER also supply machines to work in applications such as salt/ fertiliser production, wood chip handling, port rehandling or to move compost with a recently acquired new Volvo L220H loading shovel complete with an impressive 11m3 high tip bucket. This machine left the workshop earlier in the year to a much-valued repeat customer who sees the benefits in allowing SER to manage their mobile plant.

SER offer flexible contract options for many types of machines where typically a minimum 1-year hire is agreed to.
